- Additional Hours Postings
Any hours available within Shyft will be posted by store region.
Any additional hours that become available through Shyft will be offered first to home store team members and then away store team members. - Commitment to shifts
If you sign up for additional hours through Shyft, you are expected to commit to these hours. If you fail to complete a shift which you signed up to work then this may be managed through performance discussions, including disciplinary action. - Reasonable Hours
The Warehouse Group is committed to ensuring that all team members work reasonable hours within the workplace. To ensure that team members do not work excessive hours, team members should not work more than 6 consecutive days or 50 hours per week. Any additional hours beyond 40 hours per week must be authorised by the home Store Manager. - Allocation of available shifts
All shifts will be open in Shyft for 30 minutes initially and the Store Manager (or their delegated representative) will assess the best suited team member for the available hours. This will be based on:- Equivalent wage rates
- Equivalent role or completed skill based training (e.g. sales consultants x sales consultants).
- Total hours the team member would work across the week (working within the Reasonable Hours guidance outlined above)
- Team member’s conduct (note: any concerns regarding performance, conduct or attendance will be considered)
- Shyft Sign-Up Approval
Please be aware that Store Managers will have final approval of all team members whom sign up to Shyft. This is to ensure that team members’ worked hours and performance is appropriate. If there are any concerns with this the Store Manager will discuss this with the team member. - Travel
If you select available hours through Shyft from either your home store or a store outside of your home store then you are responsible for getting yourself to and from work (this includes covering all costs of transportation). - Definition of Home Store
Your home store is defined by the usual store that you work in. - Definition of Away Store
Your away store is defined by the store that you are available and selected to work extra shifts in.
